Christopher Fisher Obituary; 45 Years Old Lafayette Man, Christopher Fisher killed In Acadia Parish Crash
Louisiana State Police have reported that a man from Lafayette was killed in a collision involving two vehicles that took place on Interstate 10 on Friday morning. The collision took place approximately three miles west of Louisiana Highway 35.
Tiffany Baker, a resident of Dodson, was reportedly at the wheel of a 1999 Mitsubishi Mirage traveling east on Interstate 10 when, for reasons that are now unknown, the vehicle drove off the road and collided with the rear of a 2015 International 18-wheeler that was stopped on the right shoulder of Interstate 10 East.
Christopher Fisher, 45, who was a front passenger in the Mitsubishi, was pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident.
Fisher was sent to the hospital for treatment. There were some minor injuries sustained by Baker, while the driver of the International did not sustain any injuries.
Following the submission of a breath sample, it was established that the driver of the International was not impaired.
This was in accordance with the findings of the toxicological sample that was acquired from Baker for testing purposes.
