Charlotte Suicide: Some Uptown Charlotte Roads Closed After Suicide Near Mint, 1st Streets

Charlotte Suicide: On Tuesday, a man was discovered dead from what appeared to be suicide close to Charlotte’s downtown. Following a death that was discovered this morning close to Charlotte’s central business district, officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department are currently looking into the incident.

Roads leading to the scene, according to the investigators, have been shut off while the incident is still being investigated by law police.

While they look into a probable suicide death, police say there are roadways close to the intersection of South Mint and First Streets. A little after 11:30 a.m.

Law enforcement organizations told reporters on the site on Tuesday that the victim had died. Investigators have arrived at the scene, according to a CMPD spokeswoman.

What Happened at Uptown Charlotte Roads?

Roads close to the intersection of South Mint and First streets were shut down by Mecklenburg Police as they looked into a suicide.

Just after 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Medic told media that one individual had passed away.

At this point, it is unknown what exactly led to their death. Officers are at the scene conducting an investigation, the CMPD spokeswoman confirmed.
