Carol Mitchell Obituary News: Beloved Resident Of Braselton, Georgia, Carol Mitchell Passed Away At 73

We announce the untimely departure of Carol Elaine Mitchell, a beloved Braselton resident, with heavy hearts.

On Friday, February 9, 2024, Carol, age 73, departed from us. She was a loving mother, a committed wife, and a vocal supporter of her furry companions and community.

Carol was born in 1951, raised in Tucker, Georgia, and attended Tucker High School.

Later, she made her home in Braselton, where she was Doug Mitchell’s cherished wife for 53 blissful years.

Together, they brought up their two sons, Rob Mitchell of Flowery Branch and Jeff Mitchell of Gainesville, who were joined by his spouse, Kelley.

Carol’s friends and family were well aware of her love of travel, her intense passion for gardening, and her close bond with dogs and other animals.

Her connection with the Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church, where she shared her faith with the community, gave her purpose and comfort.

Her dedication to advocacy was demonstrated by her work as a client advocate for Paws4Vets, a group that helps underprivileged veterans obtain assistance dogs.

Many people were impacted by Carol’s advocacy activities, which had a long-lasting effect on people and their devoted pets.

Carol is survived by her husband Ellis, of Marietta, and her sisters, Cathy Seifert of Cumming and Claudia Kilgore, in addition to her immediate relatives.
