Bruce Manintveld Obituary News: Beloved Member Of Ferntree Gully Falcons, Bruce Manintveld Passed Away

Bruce Manintveld, who tragically lost his life during the recent storm that occurred in Victoria on Tuesday, passed away unexpectedly.

It is with the deepest sorrow that we relay the painful news of his demise.

Bruce was not only a name; rather, he was a treasured part of our community who was well-known for his unflinching support, friendliness, and warmth.

In addition to being the loving uncle of Jack and Luke, he was the cherished brother-in-law of Keith Baker, who would go on to become our acclaimed B12.1 and B19.4 coach and committee member.

Bruce was a much-loved husband, family member, and friend to a great number of people.

He was married to Fiona, who shared her passion for basketball with the Ferntree Gully Falcons during her junior domestic basketball days.

Additionally, she represented the Knox Raiders in Representative Basketball.

We want the extended Baker family to know that our thoughts and prayers are with them during this time of great sadness and great pain.

We show our support and solidarity by uniting and offering our deepest sympathies, love, and support as they grapple with this incomprehensible loss.

We would like to respectfully request that all Falcons teams wear black armbands for their games taking place this coming Saturday and Sunday.

This is a statement of unity and support for the Baker family, as well as a way to honor Bruce Baker.

The Knox Basketball board has given their OK to this.

We strongly encourage all Team Managers to get black tape in order to make this process easier.

By sending an email to secretary@ftgfalcons.com.au, you can submit a request for compensation in the event that any expenditures have been spent. During this challenging period, we are extremely grateful for your cooperation and support.

At the same time as we are coming together to pay tribute to Bruce’s memory and to provide our support to the Baker family, let us not forget the cherished memories and the love that we have shared with one another.

During this period of tremendous loss and suffering, let us find solace in the embrace of one another.
