Briana Stephens Obituary; Macon community mourns the sudden passing of Briana Stephens, Owner and Founder at Infiniti & Dionne.

Briana Stephens passed away:

Briana Stephens AKA Bri, a graduate student and mother from Macon passed away from aplastic anemia. “It’s bone marrow failure disease where it does not produce sufficient healthy cells to form a blood clot.”

Fatigue and an increased risk of infections and uncontrollable bleeding are possible side effects of the illness. Briana was ten years old when she first noticed symptoms of the rare cancer. She was not diagnosed until she was 12 years old.

Briana’s cancer journey:

Briana fought a long battle with cancer. Last year, Briana spoke about his cancer treatment in an interview, saying, “I’m seeing a hematologist once a week, sometimes twice a week.” Other times I have to be admitted into the ER,”

Briana had a 8-year-old son, named TJ. Briana says. “I’m missing out on things that happen with my son”, Stephens said in an interview. An ideal match bone marrow transplant is the treatment for the cancer.

“In my case, it’s not either of my siblings or my mom or dad and I had to be put on a registry with thousands of people from across the country,” she said.

“I keep saying I can’t believe it because I… I had faith that I would be healed one day but I just didn’t know when,” she said.

“There’s only 23% of black people on the list,” Briana said. “So that lets you know there, that we’re not aware of what bone marrow failure is and that it’s so simple to give.”

Briana claimed that because she won’t heal from the transplant quickly, things won’t change for her overnight. Everyone prayed for her and wished for her better health. But unfortunately, she passed away.
