Bret Bennett Obituary: 52-year-old Grove City man shot dead in road rage incident on I-670 in Columbus, OH.

The Columbus Division of Police has identified the victim who was shot dead on Interstate 670 Friday evening. Police said 52-year-old Bret Bennett, of Grove City, was shot in what seems to be a “road rage” incident.

The gunshot happened on I-670 East at North 4th Street near downtown Columbus soon after 5 p.m.

Bennett was transferred to Grant Medical Center where he eventually died, according to authorities.

The suspect car, a black Ford F-150, fled the scene but was discovered on Saturday. No further details was made available, as investigation is ongoing.

Homicide detectives are continuing to investigate the fatal shooting.
