Brandon Followell Car Accident: A young man from San Marcos, Texas, named Brandon Followell was adored by many for his good nature, infectious smile, and adventurous spirit.
Brandon attended Texas State University to pursue a degree in business administration. In addition, he enjoyed travelling, taking pictures, and playing music. He enjoyed playing the guitar, going on adventures, and photographing breathtaking scenes.
Unfortunately, he lost his life in a catastrophic car accident on August 21, 2023, close to San Marcos. Together with his pals Tyler Smith and Jessica Jones, he was one of the three people who perished in the collision. The driver and another passenger both sustained injuries and were rushed to the hospital.
What Happened To Brandon Followell?
The accident happened on Highway 123, about five miles south of San Marcos, at around 4:30 in the afternoon, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety. A northbound 2014 Ford Mustang skidded off the road and collided with a tree. The car caught fire as a result of the collision.
Jones, Smith, and Followell were all declared dead at the site. Both heat burns and blunt force damage caused Followell’s death. Ashley Garcia, 22, of Austin, the fourth passenger, and the driver, who was not officially recognised, both had critical injuries and had to be taken to Seton Medical Centre Hays.
It has not yet been determined what caused the accident. The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the incident to determine if it was due to speed, drugs, alcohol, or other factors.
