Bishop Sedgwick Daniels Obituary-Death News; Victim, Bishop Sedgwick Daniels Passes Away Tragically

Bishop Sedgwick Daniels was a leader and a lighthouse of faith in the Church of God in Christ and beyond. We are saddened by his departure. Bishop Daniels was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on August 16, 1959.

His life was characterized by a strong dedication to spiritual counseling and community service. His commitment to urban development and education was demonstrated by his work as a board member of Catholic Central City Schools and as a commissioner for the Milwaukee City Plan.

Bishop Gilbert E. Patterson promoted him to the rank of bishop in 2001, and he was responsible for more than 105 parishes in Wisconsin and northern Illinois.

Under his direction, Holy Redeemer Institutional Church of God in Christ expanded into a multimillion dollar organization that had a significant influence on Milwaukee’s social services and educational systems.

Bishop Daniels’ participation in religious endeavors, such as his 2002 church welcoming of President Bush and David Kuo, showed his dedication to interfaith understanding and community involvement.

We send our sincere condolences to his family, the church, and everyone who was touched by his extraordinary life. Generations to come will be impacted by Bishop Sedgwick Daniels’ legacy of religion, service, and community empowerment.
