Who was Bishop John Manz?

Bishop John Manz was born in Chicago, Illinois, on November 14, 1945. He attended St. Martha School in Morton Grove, Illinois, and Quigley Preparatory North Preparatory Seminary in Chicago, where he later obtained his degree in 1963.

Bishop John Manz continued his education by enrolling in the University of St. Mary of the Lake in Mundelein, Illinois, where he graduated in 1971 with a Master of Divinity. He was ordained to the priesthood for the Archdiocese of Chicago on May 12, 1971, by Cardinal John Cody.

Bishop John Manz was a selfless servant of the church who embodied love, compassion, and humility throughout his life.
