B. Sathianathan Death; Former Malaysia National Team Coach Passed Away

B. Sathianathan has reportedly passed away early this morning, he was known to have lead the Malaysian national team. He died at the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (PPUM). May his soul rest in peace.

The experienced coach had to take time off from his job at Sarawak United in June of last year to get medical care. His job as boss of the Malaysia National Team team from 2007 to 2009 was one of the best parts of his long career.

Before that, he was the coach of the Under-23 national team, which won the Merdeka event in 2007.

The former national player had success with a few teams in the M-League, including Kelantan, which won the Malaysia Cup in 2010, the Armed Forces, which won the Premier League in 2012, and Felda United, which won the Premier League in 2018.

At the National Football Awards in 2010, 2012, and 2017, Sathianathan was named the best coach in the league.
