The adored son of Jay Woodruff, Austin “Woody” Woodruff lived in Marion, Ohio. He was a River Valley High School alumnus. He was a member of the RV shooting and Discus family and enjoyed playing golf at Kings Mill Golf Club.

He belonged to the church youth group in Mississippi and was a sweet, gentle giant of a man. Woody was regarded as a gifted, friendly, and clever individual. He participated in the RV Golf Team and RV Track Team as a thrower.

There isn’t a more charming, considerate, amiable, and compassionate young man than him. For the young people and his entire neighborhood, Austin served as an inspiration. His dedication to his sports team sets an example for others and motivates them to pursue success in their own pursuits. He was the epitome of diligence, commitment, and kindness.

Woody’s participation in River Valley’s shot and discus teams exemplifies his commitment to discipline and devotion. He had a strong, resilient body and was an excellent golfer.

He was a team player as well as an athlete, motivating his teammates with his commitment, strong work ethic, and upbeat attitude. His presence on the pitch serves as evidence of what is achievable with dedication and hard effort.
