Andrea Evans Obituary News: At the age of 66, Andrea Evans passed away on July 9, 2023. Before she passed away on Sunday, she had been on “One Life to Live” and “Passions.”
Evans attended school in Urbana-Champaign after being born on June 18, 1957, in Aurora, Illinois. While she was still a student, she worked as an extra in the 1978 Brian De Palma film The Fury. Her long-fought struggle with cancer is what ultimately led to her death.

Andrea Evans, who portrayed Rebecca Hotchkiss on Passions (NBC/DirecTV) and Tina Lord on One Life to Live (ABC), has passed away. aged 66 years.
Evans lost her fight with breast cancer on Sunday at her Pasadena home, according to casting director Don Carroll in The Hollywood Reporter. Evans’ depiction of Tina on One Life to Live from 1979 to 1981 and again from 1985 to 1990 earned her the title “Daytime’s Diva of Dirt” according to People magazine.
But in 1987, she was met by a stalker in the soap’s Manhattan studio lobby, and the stalker sent her death threats via mail, some of which were written in blood.
The fright “changed me forever. She told People in 2008, “No way.” Evans returned to daytime television in 1999–2000 as Tawny Moore on CBS’s The Bold and the Beautiful after spending the last eight years as Rebecca on Passions until its demise in 2008.
Andrea returned to One Life to Live in 2008 and 2011 to reprise her roles as Tina and Tawney, respectively (during which time Tina marries John Loprieno’s character Cord Roberts on The Bold and the Beautiful in a 2010 episode). She played Tawny in one episode of CBS’s The Young and the Restless from 2010 as well as Patty Williams from 1983 to 1984.
For her work on One Life to Live in 1988 and for her portrayal of Vivian Price in the web series DeVanity in 2015, Evans received two Daytime Emmy nominations: one each for outstanding creativity in a drama series and outstanding actress in a “new approaches” category. Her most recent acting role was in the Prime Video series The Bay, which she appeared in from 2017 to 2020.
Later, she appeared in films including A Low Down Dirty Shame (1994), Ice Cream Man (1995), and Hit List (2012), as well as television shows like The $10,000 Pyramid and Hollywood Squares.
Carroll claims that Evans just published a memoir titled “My One Life to Live” in which she talks about her experience working with the City of Hope and other animal rescue groups. The only people left are Steve, her husband, and their daughter Kylie.
