Her Family reported that her dead body was found were she was last seen and her cause of dead remains unknown. Her family further stated that “We are devastated by our immense loss, but we also thank God every day for blessing us with the privilege of knowing and loving His beautiful soul for the past twenty-five years,”

Amina wassaid to be missing a month after she was found dead, a search was on for 19 days after her disapperance before the search was stopped and was later found dead days later.
Police stated in a report that “While the investigation is still ongoing, the active search for Ms. Omar has been concluded,”
The Columbus Dispatch reported that, Alhaj-Omar was a 25 years old graduate of Ohio State with a bachelor’s degree in criminology before beginning graduate studies in social work. Relatives previously told the newspaper that police thought she may have entered the quarry pond.
Her jacket, shoes and her cell phone were found on the property, her sister said last month. Her family said she “worked hard to pursue her admirable dream of fighting for the people.” “Most people who really knew Amina immediately remember her laugh – she was contagious and brought happiness to everyone in the room,” says her obituary. “
She had a way of making people feel comfortable and welcome in any situation. Her personality was just beautiful: a bubbly, shy, caring, fun-loving human being inside and out.”
