Allisson Manrique Car Accident; 15 Year Old Garinger High School Sophomore Classmate, Allisson Manrique Passes Away In A Fatal Car Accident

According to a previous story by The Charlotte Observer, Allisson Manrique Mejia, a student at Garinger High School, passed away at the hospital three days after the accident.

A 2010 Mazda 3 that was allegedly speeding and went airborne before spinning off Shamrock Avenue in east Charlotte around a half mile from the school was involved in the accident, according to the police. Allisson and three classmates were included in the vehicle.

In accordance with a press release issued by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, the only person wearing a seat belt was the driver.

On Friday, police from the Eastway Division of the Chicago Metropolitan Police Department arrested the driver on counts of misdemeanor death by automobile, speeding, and missing an operator’s license.
