Aimee Gerace Obituary – Death: Temple Isaiah Rabbi-Educator, Aimee Gerace Died from Lobular Carcinoma Cancer

Aimee Gerace Obituary: Rabbi-educator Aimee Gerace, who worked at Temple Isaiah in Los Angeles, California, regrettably passed away. It was reported yesterday that Rabbi Aimee Gerace, the Education Director at the Pasadena Jewish Temple & Centre, had passed away. After a protracted struggle with breast cancer, she passed away this Shabbat. Her family is in our thoughts and prayers during this trying time. “Before she was part of the Temple Isaiah family, Rabbi Aimee Gerace was my friend, HUC classmate and study partner for one torturous semester of Codes. tortuous for me because of the content; tortuous for her because she had to put up with me. Nevertheless, she persisted—and thank God, because I passed the class no doubt due to her abundant patience and wisdom.”

Who was Aimee Gerace?

Born in the San Fernando Valley, Rabbi Gerace currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband Marco, their children Amalia and Carson (a B’nai Simcha student), as well as two cats.

Rabbi Gerace received her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Jewish Studies from Tulane University in New Orleans, where she was recognised by Elizabeth and Fritz Krauss as the Outstanding Student in Jewish Studies. She started off as an early childhood educator and youth adviser for Jewish adolescents in Los Angeles.
