Harvey Owen Death; Identified As 1 of 4 Found Dead- Mum didn’t know he was going campin

A teenage kid whose body was found after his automobile crashed stated his mother didn’t know he was camping.

Four companions aged 16 to 18 perished when their Ford Fiesta flipped onto its roof and became partially buried in water in North Wales. Harvey Owen, 17, was one of them. Harvey’s mother, Crystal Owen, didn’t know the teens were camping and thought they were staying at a friend’s grandfather’s house.

Harvey, Jevon Hirst, 16, Harvey Owen, 17, Hugo Morris, 18, and Wilf Henderson, 18, were missing from Shrewsbury, Shropshire, on Sunday. A huge search was begun. Since it was winter, Crystal stated she would have prohibited them from camping since it would have been dangerous.

Crystal stated that, “I am frantically worried, we haven’t slept a wink, we are desperate to chase any lead we can,” before the car and bodies were found. If I had known where he was heading, I wouldn’t have let him due to cold weather. They are sensitive, educated boys, and we hope they parked, got lost, and are OK.”

Their victims were found in a silver automobile that abandoned the A4085 at Garreg, near Tremadog, according to North Wales Police. Owain Llewelyn said: “At present, this appears to have been a tragic accident, and our thoughts are with the family and friends of the four young men at this very difficult time.”

Out of St. Asaph police HQ, he told reporters: “Police found a Ford Fiesta half buried in water on its roof. Unfortunately, four young boys were found dead in the vehicle.”

The force said it was investigating why the automobile left the road. The group had just basic camping gear and was inexperienced. They were A-level students at Shrewsbury Colleges Group, which said its “immediate thoughts are with the family and friends of the teenagers”.

Local MP Liz Saville Roberts and Senedd member Mabon ap Gwynfor said: “As parents, we are heartbroken for the families and friends of the four young men who died in this awful accident.
