Fran Doyle Obituary; Sadly, A Resilient Firefighter And Member Middletown Fire Company, Has Passed Away.

On Monday, Middletown Fire Company No. 1 lifelong member Fran Doyle passed away. Her demise is being mourned by the company. Fran’s constant commitment to aiding those in need characterized his 45 years of service to the Middletown Township community and fire department. Fran joined the Middletown Fire Department in February 1978, having previously worked with the Folsom Fire Company in Folsom (Ridley Township), after relocating his family there. During his tenure at the agency, Fran showed his versatility and leadership skills by assuming several administrative duties.

As a firefighter and inspector at the Philadelphia Navy Yard, Fran devoted his life to helping the citizens of Philadelphia. He spent more than 25 years serving as the US Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla Commander in addition to his regular duties.

Fran’s numerous services to the community showed his strong sense of duty and commitment to it. After retiring from the fire service, Fran found absolute joy in operating a school bus for the Rose Tree Media School District. His love for his family was evident in the time he spent with them at his beachfront home in Delaware. Fran left a lasting legacy of friendship and service that went well beyond the fire department.
