They said: “We are devastated to announce the peaceful death of our incredible mother, Annabel Giles, at Martlets Hospice in Hove yesterday afternoon. Mum was diagnosed with stage 4 Glioblastoma in July, a fast-growing, severe brain tumor.
Despite brain surgery and many radiotherapies, she showed extraordinary tenacity and strength in the four months that followed. In her final weeks, she passionately promoted Glioblastoma awareness, demonstrating her lifelong dedication to assisting others.
Mum was unique and enigmatical to those who knew her. As usual, she kept spirits high and her wits sharp till the finish. Her wit and laughter will motivate us to live life fully, as she always did.
“We appreciate your love and support and ask that you respect our privacy during this difficult time. Martlets Hospice, whose wonderful care comforted us throughout this journey, would appreciate donations in place of flowers or other gifts. Molly & Tedd x, gratefully “they added.
