Nakeisha Warren Obituary Albany, GA: 32-year-old woman identified as victim in Albany homicide; Rico Lashon Hall arrest & charges.
The Albany Police Department (APD) reports that a woman was discovered dead inside her home, and that a man has been charged with her murder.
According to reports, officers were called to the 1100 block of Julia Avenue on Sunday, November 19, at 11:30 p.m., in response to a report of gunfire. Nakeisha Warren, 32, was found dead at the scene after suffering several gunshot wounds.
The victim’s boyfriend, Rico Lashon Hall, 30, shot Warren, according to the APD, then drove away in her white Nissan Altima. Later on, we learned that Hall had crashed the car on Sasser’s De Short Road and fled on foot.
When a man was spotted strolling down Highway 82W close to Marks Melon Patch, heading back toward Albany, a Terrell County Deputy alerted the Albany Police Department. When the lead detective arrived on the scene, Hall was taken into custody and refused to comment about the homicide.
Hall is charged with murder, aggravated assault, and possessing a firearm while committing a felony. He is being held at the Dougherty County Jail.
