Sergeant Miller-Devlin stated, “Unfortunately, the man, a front-seat passenger in a grey Volkswagen Golf, was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers provided first aid alongside colleagues from other emergency services.”
Accident unfolds:
The single-vehicle accident occurred in Katesbridge in the early hours of Saturday morning. The victim was a passenger in the vehicle. Two more people were admitted to the hospital.
“Shortly after 12.30am on Saturday, November 18, police received a report of a single vehicle collision on the Circular Road,” stated Sergeant Miller-Devlin of the Collision Investigation Unit.
“The vehicle’s driver and another passenger have been transported to the hospital for medical attention. For a while, officers blocked the road while inquiries were conducted at the spot.
