Jeremiah Issac Williams Shooting; 19 Years Old Jeremiah Issac Killed in a Fatal Shooting On Wabash Street in Durham
Durham residents were devastated to learn that 19-year-old Jeremiah Isaac Williams II had died in a shooting.
On Wednesday night, Durham Police responded to a ShotSpotter alarm in the 1300 block of Wabash Street and discovered Jeremiah had been shot. Jeremiah passed away from his wounds despite the EMS personnel’s best efforts to get him to the hospital quickly, leaving the town in sadness.
This is the second shooting on Wabash Street in just four days, which is rather upsetting. Officers had attended to another gunshot wound in the 1200 block of the street on Friday before Jeremiah’s tragic death. That incident’s victim also sustained a gunshot wound and was sent to the hospital right away.
As investigations continue into these distressing events, the Durham Police Department urges anyone with information to come forward.
