Tuesday marked the tragic death of Arnez “C-Knight” Blount, who had been taken off life support. After suffering a crippling stroke that October 18, he was admitted to the hospital, severely impairing his health.
C-Knight’s father, George Lee Washington Blount Jr., disclosed that his son’s stroke had been induced by complications arising from diabetes. During this trying period, C-Knight remained unresponsive, and medical professionals vigilantly monitored his brain activity.
It was revealed by TMZ that the rapper suffered a stroke while receiving dialysis for his diabetes. He went into cardiac arrest as a result of this serious incident, but thanks to the amazing work of the medical staff, he was successfully revived even though life support was required.
After C-Knight unexpectedly passed away, former partner Bo-Roc posted a moving eulogy to the musician on Instagram.
“This is like f***ing nightmare I swear this s**t hurt different and I don’t want to talk about s**t to nobody so please just let me be and pray for us…,” wrote Bo-Roc. “On my soul I love you bro and I already don’t know what the f**k to do wit u being gone… 💔💔🙏🏾🙏🏾.”
Renowned for his crucial contribution to the hip-hop group Dove Shack, the rapper was a notable figure in the field. The ensemble, which included 2Scoops, Bo-Roc, and C-Knight, gained popularity with rapper Warren G’s 1994 album “Regulate… G Funk Era.” But what really cemented their place in hip-hop history was their 1995 song, “Summertime in the LBC,” from their debut album “This Is the Shack.” Other notable songs on the album included “Smoke Out” and “This Is the Shack.”
