Joshua Ferreira Obituary: 44-year-old South Dartmouth man identified as victim in fatal Bedford crash.
The person killed in last week’s horrific vehicle accident in New Bedford has officially been named. The South Dartmouth resident Joshua Ferreira, 44, lost his life in the one-vehicle collision on Route 140.
On Thursday, November 2, around 4:15 a.m., Massachusetts State Police troopers responded to a single-crash vehicle near Route 140 North and Braley Road.
Following an investigation, police said that the driver of a Ford F-150 pickup was going fast close to the Braley Road off-ramp at Exit 7 when he smacked a guard rail and went airborne.
According to reports, Ferreira was not using a seatbelt when he was catapulted from the truck and later declared dead from his wounds.
Authorities are still investigating the crash.
