The Pennsylvania State Police has now identified the deceased as 52 year old Michael Webb of Harmony.

According to police, Webb was operating a 2019 Suzuki motorcycle in the passing lane of I-79 southbound just south of the Rt 228 overpass. A deer entered the roadway from an unknown direction. The motorcycle struck the deer, and Webb was ejected from the motorcycle, police said.

Webb was pronounced dead on scene.

According to police, a “bicycle helmet” was used by Webb.

There is no indication of any other vehicle involved.
