Luis Padilla Quezada Car Accident: Authorities have disclosed the identity of a man who lost his life in a vehicle crash on Monday in Napa.

According to the Napa County Coroner’s Office, Luis Padilla Quezada, 57, died as a result of injuries sustained in an accident involving a Toyota Camry and a semi-truck on the Silverado Trail at around 9:30 a.m.

On Monday morning, the Calfire LNU Twitter account shared images from the crash site.

Emergency responders had to extract one individual from the severely damaged vehicle. Following the incident, the Napa County Sheriff’s Office verified the fatality, while the other person involved suffered moderate injuries.

Authorities reported that Silverado Trail remained shut down from Yountville Cross Road to Oak Knoll Ave. until approximately 1:22 p.m.

This tragic incident marked the second lethal event on the same segment of the Silverado Trail within slightly more than a week. According to officials, two bicyclists, identified as Christian Deaton, 52, and Michelle Deaton, 48, both from Portland, were fatally struck by lumber that had shifted on a truck’s flatbed as the vehicle passed them on the road on October 18 in Napa County.

Investigations into Monday’s collision are ongoing.
