Jack Degnan Obituary News: Irvington “HERO” Who Saved Student that Fell Over Ardsley Train Tracks is Dead

Jack Degnan Obituary: Sadly, Jack Degnan, an account executive with Essity in Westchester County and inhabitant of Irvington, New York, went away. On Wednesday, November 1st, 2023, his cherished wife, Noreen Byrne Degnan, declared him dead via a social media post.

His wife posted on Facebook early on Wednesday, requesting prayers for Jack, but the family did not disclose the circumstances surrounding his death.

Jack Degnan risked his life to aid a Mercy College student who had fallen onto the Ardsley train tracks on February 27, 2013. Degnan humbly accepted a proclamation from Mayor Brian C. Smith that named July 15 “Jack Degnan Day” in the village of Irvington.
