We announce the loss of our cherished friend and the first president of Life Chiropractic College West, Dr. Gerry Clum, with great grief.
Dr. Clum spent the next thirty years mentoring thousands of students towards a rewarding career as a doctor of chiropractic after taking the oath of office as Life West’s president in 1981.
Our organisation and the chiropractic profession as a whole have been profoundly impacted by Dr. Clum’s unrelenting dedication to the college, the chiropractic community, and chiropractic education. His legacy will always encourage us to pursue excellence and preserve the principles he cherished.
President Dr. Ron Oberstein’s statement reads, “We are saddened by the passing of Dr. Gerry Clum, a real visionary, mentor, and leader. He has had an enormous influence on both our college and the chiropractic community at large.
The insight, fervour, and commitment of Dr. Clum have served as beacons of guidance for all of us. By keeping up the advancement of the ideals and beliefs he cherished, we shall pay tribute to his memory. Cathy, Lauren, Cassie, Don, and the entire Clum family are in our thoughts and prayers during this trying time. Godspeed, my close companion.
