Jaida Rosado Obituary Chicago, IL: CICS Bucktown teacher identified among two killed in South Lake Shore Drive crash.
A tragic two-car incident on Monday night on DuSable Lake Shore Drive in the Douglas neighbourhood left two individuals dead and four others hospitalized, according to police.
Around 8:45 p.m. on Monday, a 49-year-old male driving a southbound Chevrolet Bolt changed lanes in the 3000 block of South DuSable Lake Shore Drive. The collision caused the Nissan Altima to crash into a tree and catch fire in the road’s median, as reported by Chicago police.
Following their transport to University of Chicago Medical Centre, the 24-year-old driver of the Nissan and a female passenger in the front seat were declared deceased, according to authorities. The Cook County medical examiner’s office states that the woman’s age was not provided and that they have not yet been publicly identified.
The woman has been unofficially identified as Jaida Rosado.
Rosado was a 6th grade teacher at CICS Bucktown.
After being transported to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, the two 21-year-old female passengers in the Nissan were reported to be in critical condition by the police.
In addition, the Chevrolet lost control of the road and collided with a median. A police report states that the driver refused medical assistance and was taken into custody on the spot.
According to authorities, two occupants of the Chevrolet, a 39-year-old lady and a 42-year-old male, were transported to Stroger Hospital in fair condition.
The Major Accidents Unit of CPD is looking into it.
