Who was the victim?
Her name won’t be revealed until her next of kin has been informed. Authorities in Gautier responded to a welfare report, and Chief David Bever of the department said that they went to the couple’s home in the 1700 block of Pat Drive and began to investigate. Upon reaching the residence, the officer pressed the doorbell, detected a gunshot, and asked for additional assistance from other units.
Bever claims that after breaking into the residence, the police found the woman dead in the bathroom and Oliveira dead in the living room from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Bever said that prior to their response on Monday, the police had not addressed a report of domestic violence at the property.
