Kelly had a significant career as a physical therapist and the coordinator of clinical education at the Military Advanced Training Centre at Walter Reed Army Medical Centre, and later at Walter Reed National Medical Centre.
Kelly had the chance to help amputees retrain daily skills, including walking, running, and playing sports, as part of her work as an amputee specialist. Chris Roseberry, a former First Sergeant in the US Army, and Kelly got married in 2015. Their second child, Noah Ryan, tragically died.
