Alice McShera Obituary-Death News; Well-Respected Family Court Lawyer, Alice McShera Found Dead
At a five-star hotel, the body of a well-liked and respected Family Court attorney was found. Alice McShera, 34, was found unconscious in a Crown Towers hotel room in the Burswood entertainment complex in Perth on Monday at approximately 11.10 a.m.
Following what appeared to be self-inflicted injuries, Cameron John Pearson was taken to the hospital and put under custody. He was denied bail by the police.
When the 42-year-old showed up in Perth Magistrates Court on Tuesday morning, he was charged with one count of murder. There were about six obviously upset members of Perth’s legal community seated in the public gallery.
There in the gallery were many who had also been devastated by Pearson’s. When asked if he understood the charge, Pearson did not respond. He said nothing when the charge was repeated out loud. McShera was said to be Pearson’s girlfriend.
Alice McShera worked mostly in Family Court and was based at Murray Chambers in Perth’s central business district. She had over ten years of experience as an advocate and barrister, and she was a member of both the Family Law Practitioners Association of Western Australia and the Law Society of Western Australia.
She has also appeared in the WA Supreme Court and Magistrates Court, and she was once an associate of a WA Family Court judge.
In a social media message, Keegan Family Lawyers offer their sympathy. “Alice—you were a strong, powerful woman, an amazing barrister and lawyer!” the association stated. You stood up for people who were unable to defend themselves.
