Max Fahnlander Suicide: In loving memory of Dowling Catholic High School student, Max Fahnlander.

An online obituary on Saturday, October 28, 2023, announced the unexpected and tragic death of Max Fahnlander.

Max ended his battle with depression this past week, his family announced. An Honor Walk for Max was scheduled for Monday morning at Blank Children’s Hospital.

Max attended Dowling Catholic High School in Des Moines.

Dowling Catholic High School is a Catholic secondary school in the central United States, in West Des Moines, Iowa, within the Diocese of Des Moines. As of the 2013-14 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,431 students and 94.6 classroom teachers, for a student–teacher ratio of 15.1:1.
