Jaime Robert Carrillo passed away at the age of 47 on Thursday, October 26, 2023. Jaime originally from Washington, D.C., was a theater artist and a visionary.
Jaime did not just think outside the box. He thought as if the box didn’t exist. He dreamed without limits and applied his creative insight not only to theater but to every aspect of his life, his obituary said.
Jaime was a proud graduate of Sidwell Friends School, Brandeis University, and the William Esper Studio. He acted professionally at SpeakEasy Stage, Shakespeare & Co., Classical Theatre of Harlem, The Flea Theater, and GALA Theatre, among many others. He was a founding director of feeT oF clay Theater Company in Washington, D.C., Firebrand Theory Theater Company in New York, and Bostonia Bohemia in Boston.
“We are saddened by the loss of actor Jaime Carrillo who appeared on our stage in Death of A Salesman and Becky’s New Car. We send our condolences to his friends, family, and the community of artists who worked with him,” Lyric Stage Company wrote in a social media post.
