Baijnath Agarwal Obituary; Gita Press Trustee Baijnath Agarwal Passes Away At 90.


Baijnath Agarwal, 90, a trustee of Gita Press, departed this life on Saturday at 2:30 in the morning at his home in Hariom Nagar, Gorakhpur.

As a trustee of Gita Press, Baijnath ji has devoted the last forty years of his life to social consciousness and charitable endeavors. “The loss that Baijnath’s passing has caused to society is irreversible,” Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated in his condolence letter.

At the age of 17, Baijnath Agarwal began working for Gita Press in 1950. In 1983, he joined the Gita Press trusteeship. He has also served as an administrator at Gita Press before taking this job. There, his father was employed as well.

CM Yogi posted on social networking site X, saying, “It is very sad to learn of the passing of Shri Baijnath Aggarwal, a trustee of Geeta Press in Gorakhpur. For the past forty years, Baijnath ji has devoted his life to human welfare and societal consciousness as a trustee of Geeta Press. Society has suffered irreversible loss as a result of his passing. May Lord Shri Ram offer the departed soul a seat at His feet and the courage to bear this great loss for the bereaved family members and the entire Geeta Press family. Om Peace!”
