Pompano Beach Motorcycle Accident: One dead, two in critical condition after Wednesday crash on West Atlantic Boulevard.
According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, a collision in Pompano Beach on Wednesday afternoon resulted in the death of a motorcyclist and significant injuries to the driver and passenger of a car.
The collision occurred in the 2100 block of West Atlantic Boulevard at approximately 12:30 p.m.
The wrecked motorbike and silver vehicle were in the eastbound lanes of the road at a left-turn-only intersection with an access road leading to an industrial area, many fast-food outlets and a Walmart Supercenter.
According to BSO spokeswoman Claudinne Caro, paramedics from Pompano Beach Fire Rescue attempted to save the biker’s life but ultimately declared him dead. According to her, the car’s driver and passenger were taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital.
The motorcyclist’s identity and the authorities’ determination of fault have not been made public.
Detectives for traffic homicides of the BSO are presently looking into the collision.
