Francis Kiefer Car Accident; Resident Of Barto, Pennsylvania, Francis Kiefer Passes Away In Car Accident in Montgomery County
A two-truck collision in Montgomery County resulted in the deaths of two persons. The names of the victims were Raymond Hookway, 64, and Francis Kiefer, 32. Kiefer, a native of Barto, Pennsylvania, and Hookway, a resident of Phoenixville, reportedly died as a result of wounds he received in the animal-car collision.
The crash happened on Douglass Township’s Route 100 just before six in the morning. Kiefer hit a deer while driving a black Nissan Frontier pickup truck south, according to accounts. Then he swerved into the northbound lanes and struck another black Nissan Frontier pickup truck that Hookway was driving head-on.
Autumn is one of the most dangerous seasons because of the high number of accidents that are blamed on deer each year. In terms of the number of deadly animal-related collisions, Pennsylvania is tied for third place with Illinois, North Carolina, and Oklahoma.
