Wanza Cole Obituary; A Victim Of A Fatal Collision On Western Boulevard Close To NC State Has Passed Away.

The sad victim of the tragic collision that occurred on a fateful Tuesday afternoon along Western Boulevard, close to North Carolina State University, has been recognized by the Raleigh Police Department. Wanza Cole, the victim, was 62 years old when she became embroiled in a series of incidents that would forever change the lives of everyone concerned.

When 2:18 p.m. rolled around, the event happened close to the intersection of Western Boulevard and Dan Allen Drive. Wanza Cole was driving her 2019 Honda Accord through the eastbound lanes of Western Boulevard on that fateful day. Another car was also waiting for the light to turn green while stopped at the red light.

A 2018 Land Rover and a 2012 Dodge Avenger, both of which were obeying the traffic signal, stood next this person’s 2015 Audi Q3 at the crossing.

Tragically, Cole failed to stop her car in time as she neared the junction, resulting in a catastrophic crash. Her Honda Accord’s rear struck the Audi Q3, pushing it forward into the Land Rover’s back.

Cole’s vehicle drifted into the right lane and collided with the Dodge Avenger after the incident with the Audi caused shockwaves through the intersection. One of the drivers was injured during the pandemonium, and although not life-threatening, they required medical attention and were taken to a hospital.

Due to the seriousness of the situation, both eastbound lanes had to be blocked off, with a firetruck standing watch as a sentinel. The WRAL tower camera captured the aftermath of the tragedy, which served as a sobering reminder of the unpredictable nature of life on the road to a large audience.
