Christina Spigner tragically lost away on Monday, October 23, 2023, at Akron, Ohio. The father of Gina Christina Star Spigner’s child declared her dead on social media, posting, “Yesterday Gina Christina Star Spigner passed away.” She was slain and abducted far too soon. Two people, including a 38-year-old man who had a gunshot wound to the head, were found dead at a home fire in Ellet on Monday night, according to the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office.

A homicide-suicide is being investigated by Akron police. With the house ablaze in flames and smoke spilling out of the windows, fire engines and cruisers began lining Lansing Road just before 7 p.m.

At that point, officers discovered an unconscious adult lady who had been shot multiple times in the driveway, according to a news release from the Akron Police Department. She was pronounced dead at 7:27 p.m. According to the news release, the woman was removed from the scene, and firefighters got to work putting out the “active but small fire.

Police stated that a 38-year-old man’s body with a gunshot wound to the head was found in the basement after the fire was put out. He was pronounced dead at the site at 10:18 p.m.

The medical examiner identified the woman as 44-year-old Christina Spigner. She died from multiple gunshot wounds to the head and torso. The age of Jonathan Deford was identified as 38 years old.

Despite having a gunshot wound to the head listed as the cause of death, it was determined that he committed suicide. The shooting and the fire are still being investigated. Early accounts suggest that multiple gunshots were heard at or near the property in the seconds prior to the event, according to authorities.
