Two days apart and less than a mile apart, two models were found dead in their opulent downtown Los Angeles apartments, and one of the late women’s families believes that a killer may still be at large.
Nichole “Nikki” Coats, 32, was discovered in her apartment on Grand Avenue after police responded to a call from family members who were unable to reach her on September 10. According to police and the LA County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner, Coats’ death is not being investigated as a homicide.
However, her family made it known that her bloodied bed was discovered.
Nikki’s mother, Sharon Coats, told the publication, “This is senseless and I want some answers because my daughter is gone.”
Nikki’s mother, Sharon Coats, told the publication, “This is senseless and I want some answers because my daughter is gone.” It’s also unfair. I want everyone to learn who assaulted her in this way. She ought not to be gone.
On September 12, according to Fox LA, Maleesa Mooney, 31, was discovered dead in her Bunker Hill flat on South Figueroa Street two days later.
Police stated a homicide investigation is being conducted into her death. Investigation is still ongoing on the case as it remains unclear if the two death are linked together.
