Nicholas Feliz Dominici Death; Baby Died of A Opioid Overdose At A Bronx Daycare
The grieving mother of 1-year-old Nicholas Feliz Dominici, who passed away from an opioid overdose at a creche in the Bronx that was serving as a drug front, revealed that her son had only started attending the facility a week earlier, shortly before it became clear that drugs were being sold there openly.
Nicholas, a 1-year-old son of Zoila Dominici and Otoniel Feliz, and three other kids were affected by fentanyl discovered at the facility on Friday, according to the grieving mother. Nicholas was still getting used to nursery.
“We spoke with the decision-makers… They suggested that location, and it appears that they followed all the regulations. For our son to be eligible, we were on a waiting list, her mother told CBS New York in Spanish. The month of November would have marked Nicholas’ second birthday, and he was “very intelligent.”
“Everything you said to him was repeated by him. He loved so much. All of our neighbours who knew him thought highly of him, according to Dominici. Grei Méndez De Ventura, the proprietor of the Divino Nio Daycare, was detained on Saturday, along with her accused partner Caristo Acevedo Brito, 41, who lived in the basement with the drug-filled daycare.
The pair was accused of murder, assault, and endangering a child in connection with Nicholas’s suspected fentanyl exposure death at the age of one. Authorities are looking for Ventura’s husband, who is also wanted in connection with the boy’s death and resided with her in the house next door, according to reports. Nicholas, the youngest of five kids, which the family was suggested by Kingsbridge Heights Community Centre.
