Daniel E. Vander Leest Death; 48-Year-Old Racine Motorcyclist Dies In Crash With Car

Police reported that a 48-year-old man from Racine was killed when the motorbike he was operating struck a vehicle Saturday night.

The collision took place near Carlisle and English at around 5 o’clock, according to a statement from Racine police.

The rider was discovered by police to be unresponsive. He died there, at the hospital. Daniel Vander Leest, who is 48 years old, was the victim.

The car’s driver remained on the scene and assisted police. The public is urged to provide information from witnesses.
