The United States Power Soccer Association (USPSA) are mourning the loss of player, Andrew Cunningham.
“We are deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Andrew Cunningham,” USPSA announced in a social media post on Thursday September 14.
Andrew passed away at the age of 24, on Sunday, September 10, 2023 in Boulder, CO. He was born and raised in Syracuse, NY.
Drew was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew and hero.
Drew was a fierce competitor but an even better person. His wit followed by his grin always made him fun to be around. He played for CNY United who won the 2015 Premier Cup and is a member of the US National Team.
Andrew dealt with the effects of something called multi-core myopathy from the day he was born. It did not define him, his obituary said.
