Meredith, NH Car Accident: 76-year-old man hospitalized after car crashes into Hart’s Turkey Farm Restaurant in New Hampshire.
On Friday night, a car collided with the renowned Hart’s Turkey Farm Restaurant in New Hampshire, resulting in injuries to two individuals who were present inside the establishment. The impact of the crash also inflicted significant damage upon the premises, leaving a lasting impact on the popular eatery.
Shortly before 8:30 p.m., the crash happened off the Daniel Webster Highway in Meredith.
A white SUV can be seen colliding with the front of the building, resulting in significant interior damage.
A 76-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman sustained injuries while inside the restaurant. The man, who sustained injuries, was taken to the hospital for medical treatment.
According to the Meredith police, the driver, aged 51, was initially found unresponsive. The individual in question was subsequently apprehended for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating substances.
Since 1954, the restaurant has been owned and operated by the Hart family.
“We are all ok, thank goodness. There are no words when something like this happens except a feeling of gratefulness. Thank you to all the emergency professionals for their quick response and guidance, and to all our amazing staff and customers who quickly jumped in and helped each other out. A building can be rebuilt but no one can break our Hart’s,” The Hart’s Turkey Farm Restaurant said in a statement following the incident.
