
Dominique Bolen Walker Obituary: In loving memory of Lexington mom killed in domestic incident/home invasion on Prismatic Way.
Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher released the identity of the two people who died as a result of a domestic incident/home invasion that took place shortly before 1:30 A.M. on September 6, 2023 in the 100 block of Prismatic Way in Lexington.
According to Coroner Fisher in a statement release, 39-year-old Jamal A. Walker of Columbia shot and killed his ex-wife 36-year-old Dominique Bolen Walker of Lexington during a home invasion at the home of Ms. Walker. Ms. Walker was shot multiple times in the upper body and died of her injuries at the scene.
According to Coroner Fisher, Ms. Walker’s 9-year-old son was present at the time of the incident, but was not injured physically. Jamal Walker then fled the scene and was pursued by law enforcement and died at another location due to multiple gunshots to the body.
Autopsies was scheduled for Friday, September 8 at the MUSC at 08:30 A.M.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, Lexington Police Department, South Carolina Highway Patrol as well as the Lexington County Coroner’s Office will continue to investigate this incident.
“Our thoughts are with all of the family, friends, first responders, last responders, and all who have been greatly affected by this incident,” Coroner Fisher said.
