Cooper Bakke Grand Forks Motorcycle Accident: 18-year-old hospitalized after SUV crashed into motorcycle in Grand Forks.

According to Grand Forks Police Department in a media release, at approximately 02:19 p.m. on Friday, officers of the Grand Forks Police Department were dispatched to 24th Ave South and South Columbia RD for a motorcycle and SUV accident.

Upon officers arrival at the scene, they discovered the driver of the motorcycle, 18-year-old Cooper Bakke of Grand Forks was operating a 2018 Yamaha Motorcycle. The driver of the SUV was 89-year-old Jeanne Zimmerman of Grand Forks.

Zimmerman was operating a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox.

Mr. Bakke was transported to Altru for his apparent injuries as a result of the crash. His condition is unknown at this time, police said. Jeanne was issued a citation for failure to yield right of way at a controlled intersection.

The Grand Forks Police Department was assisted by C.A.R.T. and UAS to process the crash scene.
