St Paul’s Bay Death: Elderly swimmer from Birkirkara dies in St Paul’s Bay near Wignacourt Tower.
In a tragic incident, a 70-year-old woman hailing from Birkirkara lost her life on Monday morning in St Paul’s Bay. The unfortunate incident occurred when the woman encountered difficulties while swimming.
At approximately 10:00am, an incident occurred in close proximity to Wignacourt Tower.
The victim received immediate medical assistance from Malta Red Cross personnel and was subsequently transported to the hospital via ambulance. Tragically, despite these efforts, she was pronounced deceased.
In a recent development, Magistrate Rachel Montebello has been apprised of the case and has taken the initiative to launch an inquiry. Meanwhile, the police continue their ongoing investigations into the matter.
