Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina Fire: Authorities identify three killed in Friday morning fire in Kill Devil Hills.
The three people who were killed in a major fire outbreak in Kill Devil Hills on Friday morning are now identified as; 64-year-old Colleen Cohan, 68-year-old William Deeg of Ashton, Maryland and 13-year-old Cienna Farr of Silver Spring, Maryland.
Three others were injured in the fire.
According to town officials, a fire erupted at approximately 2:25 on Friday morning at a vacation home located in the 1800 block of North Virginia Dare Trail, in close proximity to the Jolly Roger restaurant.
In a valiant effort, firefighters successfully contained and extinguished a devastating fire primarily confined to a single residence. Tragically, reports indicate that three individuals lost their lives in the incident, while an additional three individuals necessitated medical attention. Two individuals were transported via airlift to Sentara Norfolk General.
In Silver Spring, three individuals were injured in an incident. The injured parties have been identified as 48-year-old Laura Volk, 16-year-old Sadie Farr, and 55-year-old David Brewer. According to officials, Volk is reported to be the mother of Laura and Sadie, as well as the girlfriend of Brewer.
According to officials, Volk and Brewer are presently receiving medical treatment at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital’s burn unit. Their condition is reported to be “stable.” Sadie Farr, after receiving medical attention at Outer Banks Hospital, has been discharged.
The cause of the fire is still under investigations.
