Diego Almeda Shot Dead; 15-year-old Killed, Man Injured After Sunday Night Shooting On US 71 Highway
In a tragic incident on Sunday night, a teenager lost their life and a man sustained injuries as a result of a highway shooting.
According to a report from the Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department, authorities discovered a vehicle halted on northbound U.S. 71 Highway, specifically south of 22nd Street, shortly after 11 p.m. Upon further investigation, it was revealed that two individuals had sustained gunshot wounds.
According to authorities, a tragic incident unfolded as 15-year-old Diego Almeda was shot and subsequently transported to a hospital, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries. According to law enforcement officials, a man has been shot and is currently listed in critical condition.
