Jesus Toledo Charges; Murder Charge Filed Against 19-Year-Old in NW Side Shooting
On Chicago’s Northwest Side, a man has been officially charged with murder. The charges stem from a shooting that occurred on Saturday morning, where a 17-year-old boy lost his life.
In a reported incident, it is alleged that a 19-year-old individual named Jesus Toledo shot Jesus Rojano Crespo at approximately 2:20 a.m. The incident took place in the 2000 block of North Pulaski Road in Hermosa, as confirmed by both the police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Jesus Rojano has been identified as the man who was shot by Toledo. The shooter has now been arrested and faces charges for murder.
According to police, Crespo has tragically succumbed to gunshot wounds in the abdomen and chest. He was promptly transported to Stroger Hospital, where his life ultimately came to an end.
In a turn of events, Toledo was apprehended in Waukegan on Saturday, marking the culmination of the arrest. In a significant development, the individual in question has been formally charged with a single count of first-degree murder.
Toledo, a resident of North Chicago, is set to make an appearance in bond court on Monday.
