In a recent development, additional information has emerged regarding the tragic homicide that occurred in Little Rock over the weekend. Authorities have now successfully identified the victim involved in this heinous crime.
According to a news release from the police, a 26-year-old man named Eligiah Lucas was discovered with gunshot wounds near the intersection of Green Mountain Drive and Rainwood Road at approximately 7 p.m. It has been reported that the individual in question met their untimely demise at the scene.
Officers have reported that they engaged in a conversation with a 23-year-old individual named Harris Martin, who was present at the location. Subsequently, they proceeded to escort him to the Major Crimes department for further interrogation.
Following an interrogation by law enforcement officials, Martin cooperated by providing a statement and was subsequently released without any charges, pending further review.
The body of Lucas was transported by the Pulaski County Coroner to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy, as confirmed by officials. Additionally, the next of kin has been duly notified.
